The Online Books Page is a large directory of more than 1.75 million free online books. Dr. Mark Ockerbloom, a digital library planner at the University of Pennsylvania, compiled the directory and he is passionate about making books no longer under copyright available to anyone who wants to read them. His current work revolves around getting all libraries to link into the information that is there for the taking.
Community Connection

Volunteers who build houses with Habitat for Humanity want to make a difference for impoverished families. The Minneapolis chapter of Habitat for Humanity believes a book club available to their volunteers can help make the difference more impactful. Through book discussions and movie viewings, organizers want to educate and inspire people to deepen their conversations about poverty, prejudice, and homelessness.
